Nathee is a Partner at Chandler MHM Ltd. (CMHM) and has been with the firm since 2019. Prior to joining CMHM he had experience with a leading international law firm in Thailand. Over the past 23 years, Nathee has successfully developed and maintained a broad dispute resolution practice, providing sophisticated and effective advice to clients involved in a wide variety of disputes.   Some Representative Transactions:

  • The subsidiary of a well-known real estate developer company in Thailand which is constructing a high-rise condominium in the metropolitan area of Bangkok.
  • A Condominium Juristic Person (on behalf of the co-owners) in a dispute with the condominium’s developer. The issue in dispute is whether the trademark licensing agreement is enforceable.
  • A leading international airport construction company defending an arbitration case initiated by a Thai authority in relation to breach of design contract and claiming for damage to the runway, taxi way and apron at Suvarnabhumi Airport (circa USD 100 million)
  • Thailand’s leading professional football clubs – in challenging an administrative order issued by the Football Association of Thailand in relation to disputes arising from the allocation of rights and quotas for football clubs to participate in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League. Represented the club in an arbitration dispute at the Tribunal Arbitral du Sport / Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland (collaborated with foreign counsels from Germany)
  • A leading import foods and products company in Thailand in relation to an arbitration with a well-known branded Singaporean food company on a share purchase agreement case at the Thai Arbitration Institution (TAI).
  • A multinational technology company in relation to a claim for fees and damages under IT services agreements with a hospitality group.
  • A major oil and gas company on petroleum law, constitutional law, administrative law, and perspectives on arbitration for an international arbitration dispute involving interpretation of a concessionaire’s obligations under a concession contract.
  • A power company in relation to a dispute against a contractor. The dispute involved loss arising from the breakdown of machinery at a power plant.
  • A re-insurer on the refund of advance premiums against a ceding local insurance company, including representing our client in relation to potential mediation and arbitration proceedings.
  • A Thai insurance company on the industrial all risk insurance policy coverage for business interruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The case involves claims submitted by big chain hotels in Southeast Asia for compensation in relation to business interruption.
  • A multinational life insurance and financial services company in a dispute with one of its sales agent service companies, in which the plaintiff raised critical allegations about the client’s life insurance agency business model.
  • A Malaysian construction company listed on the Main Board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange in an arbitration dispute. This dispute involved a breach of a guarantee for a construction agreement.
  • An information & communication technology company to demand from another company all overpayments and damages arising out of the breach of a subcontract agreement for construction and improvement of a traffic control and surveillance system.
  • A global aircraft financing services business, a subsidiary of one of the biggest commercial banks in China, in relation to the debt restructuring and business rehabilitation process of its Thai debtor.
  • A major plastic and chemical products manufacturer listed under SET (Stock Exchange of Thailand) in relation to the debt restructuring of its debtor.
  • A global aircraft leasing firm listed under the New York Stock Exchange in relation to the debt restructuring and business rehabilitation process of its Thai debtor.
  • Leading insurance companies and P&I Clubs in matters relating to cargo claims and other claims under marine insurance policies.
