Developments in Thailand's Climate Change Bill

In 2022, the draft Climate Change Act was introduced as a national long-term development strategy in alignment with Thailand's commitment to the Paris Agreement and its pledge to tackle climate change by achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and net-zero emissions by 2065. The Department of Climate Change and Environment ("DCCE") of the Ministry of National Resources and Environment has made progress with the draft Climate Change Act ("Bill"), as public hearings in respect of the Bill are organized in various parts of the country and are scheduled to conclude at the end of March 2024.
