In October 2021, the Government of Vietnam submitted to the 15th National Assembly the latest draft of the new Law on Insurance Business dated 21 September 2021 (the “Draft Law”) for discussion and comments. The National Assembly’s plan is for the Draft Law to be passed at the meeting session of the National Assembly to be held in May 2022, and then come into effect from 1 January 2023.
