It is with great sadness that Chandler MHM announces the death of Albert T Chandler on October 25, 2022 at the age of 86. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home in South Lake Tahoe. Albert (Al) will be remembered as a great mentor, colleague and friend. Noted for his integrity, compassion and generosity he will be deeply missed.

Al co-founded Chandler & Thong-Ek Law Offices (CTLO) in 1974 and developed the firm to be a leading law firm in the Thai market. The firm subsequently integrated with  Mori Hamada & Matsumoto in 2017. He had an illustrious legal career, working at the center of some of the biggest energy development projects of his time. Al also joined Chulalongkorn University as a part-time lecturer for 10 years teaching international contracts drafting and later project financing courses.  He retired from legal practice in 2019, returning to South Lake Tahoe full-time 50 years after his first assignment in Thailand.

We extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences to Albert’s family, colleagues and friends.
