Chandler MHM recently advised on the financing of 7 SPP gas-fired power plants for B.Grimm Power Public Company Limited ("B.Grimm"). B.Grimm is investing THB 40 billion ($1.29 billion) into the projects which will have a combined capacity of 980 megawatts. Five of the seven projects are developed under a replacement scheme with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand.

The lenders to the B.Grimm projects included Bangkok Bank, Siam Commercial Bank, Kasikornbank and state-owned lenders, Export-Import Bank of Thailand and Government Savings Bank. Construction will be carried out by Siemens Energy Co Thailand and Toshiba Plant Systems and Services Corporation.
